Gala is tonight!

Weeee!!!! The Gala is upon us! We have all been working 'round the clock to transform the MPR into a magical, starry night - thanks so much to all of the volunteers - I couldn't have done this without all of you.

You will be so proud of all the participants, and their beautiful creations inspired by this year's theme, "Diversity Means..."

Gala Date changed to Wednesday, November 2nd, 6 pm

The Reflections Awards Ceremony Gala, originally scheduled for Thursday, November 3, has been changed to Wednesday, November 2nd, at 6 p.m. (Yaaay!! Now I can be there too!!!) Be sure to change those calendars!

I really need volunteers to help set up throughout the day on Tuesday, November 1, and to assist me on the afternoon and eve of Wednesday, November 2.

Reflections is so much work, and only doable with the help of volunteers - if you want to see programs like Reflections continue, I really need your help. Even a couple of hours of your time makes a huge difference. As my ancestors from Ireland would say, "Many hands make light work."

Judging is Under Way!!

Our esteemed Judges for the Visual Arts and Photography were on campus Thursday, making their decisions - with so many beautiful works of art and photography, their jobs weren't easy!

The results of the Film, Dance, Music and Art are steadily filing in, and will be tallied shortly.

Excitement is in the air!!!

Deadline today - lots of details! :)

October 10th is here!

Please be sure to follow the labeling and packaging precisely as it reads in your Rules Packet. Include your completed, labeled, Entry Form with your Artist Statement, and have all forms (a consent form, if necessary) and your entry in/with the manila envelope. Don't forget to label your envelope, and only clasp the envelope shut, don't lick or glue it.

Whew!! A lot of stuff to think about - but this will avoid a lot of confusion for the judges - thanks so much for your attention to the details! :)

I am so proud of all of you who are participating, and so proud of every parent who has encouraged your child to take part in this wonderful program!

Reflections
Correction and Reminder!

Due to Fall Break, the Reflections Program entry deadline, originally scheduled for Friday October 7th, has been moved to Monday, October 10th.
All entries need to be turned into the office on Monday, October 10, by 3:00 pm. to the school office.
Parents of Sixth Graders: Please arrange to drop off your student's entries by 3pm, since they will be going to camp that morning.

Be sure to mark November 3rd on your calendar for the Reflections Gala Awards Ceremony!

Finally, the Reflections Program is looking for its new theme for next year, 2012-2013! More information will be coming shortly. Keep an eye out for an e-mail after Fall Break.

"Going Green" with Rules Packets - YAAY!!! :)

Hi all!

I'm very happy to report that all future Rules Packets at West Creek will be sent electronically! I will e-mail the remaining packets for all interest forms I have received in the past few days and for the remaining interest forms that come in. This will help cut down on paper expenses for the school.

Reflections Volunteer Meeting Thursday, 9/22, 8:30am

We will have our first Reflections Volunteer meeting, Thursday September 22, at 8:30 a.m. in Room 102. Please bring a calendar and a pen, as we wil be going through the timeline of events and assigning duties. If you have friends that would like to help out, please bring them along, as we could use the extra help.
